What to expect from rep hockey
Information regarding Rep Hockey.

If selected for the team,  I wanted to give you an idea of what a full season would entail to assist you in your decision to have your daughter on the team
The season usually starts in September and runs through mid April.
There are approx 26 league games, 4 - 6 provincial playdown games, between 3 and 5 tournaments with at least one being an away tournament involving overnight stays.
We would also have some dryland training and on ice skill sessions.
Overall there would be approx 65 home ice times, 13 away, plus tournaments so would expect to be on the ice over 100 times through the year.
Registration costs for the season are unknown at this point but likely in the $900 to $ 1000 range.  (this is just an estimation and fluctuates with ice time, costs etc)
Team fees cover tournaments, skill development, dryland and would likely be an additional $600 - (fundraising is usually available and can reduce or sometimes eliminate these costs)
Jerseys and pant shells are also to be purchased (jersey approx $180 and shells $90)
Players are expected to have team attire, usually a hoodie or jacket.
Travel within our league can be quite varied, it is usually within an hour (London, Stratford, Exeter) but depending on the level can be further (the U13 team had to travel to Windsor for games last year)  This will not be determined until the fall.
