2022-23 Coaching Announcement
Submitted By admin on Sat 04 16, 22
The wait is finally over….the WWGHA is very excited to announce our top tier coaches for the 2022-2023 season.

U13 – Justin Trepanier

-        Justin has been a very active member of our organization since his 3 daughters began playing hockey and has been a head coach for over 5 years.  He also serves as an Executive Board member.  He brings a great wealth of hockey knowledge and skill to his teams.  He has worked hard at coaching his girls to play to the best of their ability.  He works with young children outside of hockey, and has solid understanding of how to teach/coach.  This past season he was the head coach of the U13B who won gold at OWHA Provincials.  Congrats Justin.

U15 – Darren Wilson

-        Darren, a father of 3 daughters in the organization as well, has been a part of the Wildcats for 10 years.  He has performed many roles within his daughters’ teams – manager, assistant coach and head coach.  He is often on the ice as he helps out on all 3 teams to some capacity. He grew up playing hockey and thrives on improving his hockey knowledge.  He enjoys enlisting outside development to teach the girls new skills and to view different coaching styles and techniques.  He loves developing players’ abilities while pushing them to be the best that they can be.  He is looking forward to having a great season with the girls.  Congrats Darren.

U18 – Mike McMahon

-        Mike is a a non-parent coach for the U18 team that has been apart of our organization for many years.  He has previously coached his two daughters at various levels as well as coaching his sons through minor hockey.  Mike is a strong community advocate and has a great understanding of youth on sports.  He likes to create a positive team environment and ensure that everyone feels valued.  Mike looks forward to continuing to give back to the community by coaching the U18’s and to continue his journey of learning new coaching strategies as well.  Congrats Mike.
