Congratulations to the Fairstone Financial Woodstock Wildcats Bantam B team for earning a spot at LLFHL Championship Weekend

After climbing into 1st place for the LLFHL Central West Division during the last week of league play in January.  The Fairstone Financial Bantam B team earned a first round bye for Play-offs.  After a well deserved rest from league, they faced and eliminated the Cambridge Roadrunners in the second round in 2 games straight (1-0, 3-0).
This then pitted the Wildcats up against their 403 rivals, regular season 2nd place finishing Brantford Ice Cats.  The 2 Cats team had had epic battles in all of their previous meetings during league and tournament play. And the final for the LLFHL Central West Division was no different, and the excitement level did not disappoint in this first to 4 point series final.
Game #1 - ended in a 0-0 tie
Game #2 - With the Woodstock Wildcats down 2-0 with just over 5 minutes left in the game, Woodstock scored 3 unanswered goals to come away with the important 3-2 victory.
Game #3 - Another tight defensive game ending with a 0-0 tie, which was enough to secure the 4th point needed to seal the victory sending the WILDCats to the "Best of the Best" Championship Weekend.

Strong defensive play by all girls Forwards, Defence and Goaltenders was the difference in the series.

Congratulation Girls and Good Luck.

Go Cats Go!!
