Executive update
Hello Members,
I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy. We are now a little over 2 months into our ‘new normal’. The new normal is something that everyone is trying to figure what exactly that means.
The executive wanted to provide a quick update with what has been going on for our organization. A few weeks ago there was a province-wide conference call with OWHA. Essentially, what came from this was that when hockey returns, it will look significantly different than what we are used to. OWHA could not provide us with any specific information because there are still far too many unknowns. OWHA will be following the advice and direction provided by health professionals and Hockey Canada.
At this time, we are planning and hoping for a start in September, but nothing is for certain at this point in time. We are behind the scenes trying to put together how the fall will look if we can start in September. We are hoping to run our annual Kelly Paton summer camp the last week of summer, however, it is still unknown at this time.
Here is the latest update from Hockey Canada if you are interested in seeing what they are doing.

Hockey can be very consuming for some families, so hopefully everyone is taking advantage of this time to spend time with your family. If anyone has any concerns about playing this coming season, whether it’s for financial reasons or health related, please feel free to reach out to me at: [email protected]
As soon as we receive any new information regarding the coming season, we will be sharing it with you.Try to enjoy some of this beautiful sunny weather we are finally getting.
