Updated COVID Protocols - December 19th
Submitted By Kim Bailey on Sunday, December 19, 2021
Please see the message below from the City regarding new updated protocols:
Effective Sunday December 19th, 2021 at 12:01am there will be a 50% capacity limit for all INDOOR settings. This will include the dressing rooms.
Spectator Capacity On Ice Capacity
Red Pad 1000 people 100 people
Green Pad 90 people 80 people
Civic Centre 240 people 75 people

  • Dressing rooms are limited to 15 people max.  For teams with more than this number, you will need to take turns in the change room because extra change rooms will not be assigned, especially at Civic.  Please inform your opponents of this as well.
  • All players 11 years or younger must come to arena dressed for hockey not including skates/helmet.
  • Do not congregate in hallways, stairways, or the lobby.
  • Children must remain with parents at all times.
  • Face coverings are required in ALL areas of the Facility except on the ice surface. We strongly recommend coaches wear face coverings while on the ice.
  • Face coverings must be worn properly covering the nose and mouth at all times until completely out of the facility. Any teams found not complying with the guideline will have their ice cancelled.
  • Physical distancing of 2 metre/6 feet is in effect.
  • Entry to the Facility will remain at 30 minutes ahead. DO NOT COME EARLY. If required we will scale this back to 15 minutes which no one appreciated.
  • Everyone must exit the Facility within 15 minutes of the end of your rental.
  • No spitting! We cannot stress this enough.
  • No outside food or beverage of any kind can be brought into the Facility. Player water bottles are the ONLY exception.

We will still require Proof of Vaccination and ID for everyone 12 years and up. Be prepared to show both every single time.

Effective January 4th, 2022 you will be required to show the ENHANCED VACCINE CERTIFICATE with QR Code. See sample below.

To get your copy go to https://covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof/ or visit your local library or MPP office.

Effective January 10, 2022 we will no longer accept Medical Exemptions.

Anyone turning 12 in 2022 will be required to show Proof of Vaccination. For those turning 12 immediately in the new year there will be a 12 week grace period with no exceptions after that.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

City staff are just as frustrated and tired as the public. We are trying very hard to avoid closure and keep the doors open while  also keep the public and our staff safe.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE obey the guidelines. If at any time the Guidelines are not for you please take a pause from attending.

From Executive:

If you or your daughter has tested positive or have been told they are a close contact, you MUST inform [email protected]woodstockwildcats.com IMMEDIATELY, and do not come to any further hockey functions until you have completed your isolation.  You must isolate even if deemed a close contact regardless of vaccination status.

Please refrain from having any extra gatherings before or after your hockey session, we need to reduce the time everyone is in close proximity with one another.

Hopefully this will be the last update before the holidays.  We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, stay safe and healthy.
