HOCKEY is back!
Submitted By Kim Bailey on Sun 01 30, 22
Finally, the news we've all been waiting for...

We are set to reopen Monday January 31st, 2022.

Your coaches have been provided with some information about your return to hockey and will reach out to provide updates.  Below is the information we received from the city.  Please review with your daughter and follow the guidelines closely.

Dressing rooms are limited to 15 people maximum.
Skate on and off areas will be used. Please remain seated in your skate area (chairs or change room) until you are about to go onto the ice surface.
All players 11 years or younger must come to arena dressed for hockey not including skates/helmet.
Do not congregate in hallways, stairways, or the lobby.
Children not participating must remain with parents at all times.
Face coverings are required in ALL areas of the Facility except on the ice surface.  We strongly recommend coaches wear face coverings while on the ice surface. Face coverings MUST remain on until the moment before you step onto the ice.  Face coverings must be worn properly covering the nose and mouth at all times until completely out of the facility.

Physical distancing of 2 metre/6 feet is in effect.
Entry to the Facility will remain at 30 minutes ahead. DO NOT COME EARLY. If required we will scale this back to 15 minutes which no one appreciated.
Everyone must exit the Facility within 15 minutes of the end of your rental. This will be monitored closely

No spitting! We cannot stress this enough. Spitting will result in immediate cancellation of your ice.

Any teams found not complying with the guidelines will have their ice cancelled.

Contact Tracing is no longer required. (Keeping attendance on file for 30 days).  Food and beverage will be permitted but you must be seated to consume.

If someone is turning 12 years of age in 2022 they must be able to show full proof of vaccination by March 25, 2022. There will be no exceptions to this since everyone aged 5 and up qualify to receive the vaccine. We will still require Proof of Vaccination and ID for everyone 12 years and up. Be prepared to show both every single time.

You will be required to show the ENHANCED VACCINE CERTIFICATE with QR Code. See sample below.

To get your copy go to https://covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof/

Your QR Code should be no smaller than 2” x 2”.PLEASE TEST YOUR QR CODE PRIOR TO COMING BY USING THE VERIFY ONTARIO APP IF YOU MADE CHANGES TO THE SIZE AND DO NOT HAVE A DIGITAL COPY.

Should your QR Code not work you will not be granted access under any circumstances. It is your responsibility to ensure it works.

Anyone turning 12 in 2022 will be required to show Proof of Vaccination. For those turning 12 immediately in the new year there will be a 12 week grace period with no exceptions after that.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Our ultimate goal is to remain open and safe!  The City will be enforcing all guidelines strictly.

Again we remind you that if the guidelines are not for you, we have no issue with cancelling your contract and we will see you in the future. Just let us know if you wish to cancel.  Otherwise we will see you at the rink, and hope for the best. Should any more information come out this week we will pass along.

***Please keep and eye on your email and check your junk mail as we will be sending out an email soon regarding registration fees.  These will need to be paid immediately.

If you have any questions, please reach out and we will do our best to answer them.

Thank-you,
Woodstock Wildcat Executive
