Our girls got a unique opportunity to have a University hockey experience thanks to some family connections with their coach being cousins with Laurier Head Coach Kelly Paton.
The girls were led through a warm up by some of the Laurier players then on ice with Kelly and her players, followed by a talk about that it takes to be a University athlete and university life. Kelly may have just increased the amount of players setting their sites on Laurier for University now! The girls got the whole experience, and were even outfitted in Laurier's uniforms for the day. It was truly a memorable experience! Thank you to Kelly and your players for this opportunity for our girls and dedicating this time to them, it was truly appreciated by everyone (kids, parents and coaches alike).
