U13 BB takes gold!
The U13BB Wildcats claim gold at the Kitchener Fallfest tournament.
The U13BB Wildcats played in the Kitchener Fallfest tournament on Nov 21 to the 23rd. The girls started out slow with a tie and a loss on day 1. They did however do some team building by learning how to throw axes and knives at Lumberjacks in Cambridge, which really got the juices flowing. The girls had a blast and some of them looked like maybe they had been throwing axes at home in their spare time.
They followed that up with 2 tidy wins on the Saturday both with 2-0 scores.
In the semi they beat North Middlesex 1-0 (who they had previously lost to) and followed that up with a 1-0 nail biting win in the final vs St Marys.
The girls came together as a team and improved throughout the tournament with everyone playing a role in team success. Our goaltenders (Ivy & Kaelyn) combined for 5 shutouts in 6 games which saw Kaelyn McCartney being named tournament MVP.
