Tis the Season for giving part 2
On Sunday Dec. 14th, the Woodstock Wildcats U18BB team chose to support the VON Sakura House for their part 2 of Giving Back, this holiday season!
Woodstock Wildcats U18BB, Gives Back Part 2!!
On Sunday Dec. 14th the Woodstock Wildcats U18BB team chose to support the VON Sakura House this holiday season. We collected many items off of the Sakura House's wish list as well as had a cash box available for cash donations. At the end of the night, our cash donations totaled $341!!
Sakura House is Oxford County's only residential hospice. It is a 24 hour end of life, palliative care facility, operated by the VON, Oxford. Although the House receives some government funding, it also relies heavily on donations and fundraising. The House seeks to fundraise nearly 1.2 million dollars to cover costs not funded by the government. Any donation makes a huge difference at Sakura House, even a cash donation of just $10 can cover a meal for a patient.
